In today's day and age everything claims to be high definition quality. the truth is, only a Blu-ray player can give you the true HD experience. Many settle for the DVD, since the picture quality is much crisper than what they used to have with VHS. However, until you experience a film on Blu ray, you will never no what true HD viewing is like.

In today's day and age everything claims to be high definition quality. the truth is, only a Blu-ray player can give you the true HD experience. Many settle for the DVD, since the picture quality is much crisper than what they used to have with VHS. However, until you experience a film on Blu ray, you will never no what true HD viewing is like.

Broadcast television and streamed television from the Internet are shown in 1080i, which is not true high definition. For the clearest, picture and the clearest sound, you have to watch it on Blu-ray. Blu-ray is the only true high definition experience that is clear as can possibly be.

Watching a DVD and then stepping up to a Blu-ray is the equivalent of changing out all of your old VHS tapes and upgrading to DVD. It is really like comparing apples to oranges and the difference is amazing. Blu-ray beat out HD-DVD for this next generation of home entertainment and is quickly becoming the popular choice for people wanting the highest quality available for home entertainment. It has sold more players, not including the PS3 and movies in its first two years than DVD did when they were first released.

The movies have outsold DVD as well. This is due to it's amazing picture quality and crystal clear sound on a high definition television and with surround system. Blu-ray players have become very affordable and the movies are at the original price points that DVDs started out at.

Blu-rays have also become available, for purchase and rental, in many video stores. When DVDs were released, it was hard to find a store that would rent them, and due to this people were weary about investing in the new technology. This does not stand true for Blu-ray, players and movies can be found in almost every retail store.
